Beautiful Reminders

The short version: nothing leaves your phone. Beautiful Reminders has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising, and no internet permission. It cannot send your data anywhere.

What the app stores, and where

• Your reminders — titles, descriptions, notes, checklists, schedules and their history — are stored only in the app's private storage on your device.
• Your settings, including an optional US ZIP code you may enter for the almanac (sunrise, twilight, solunar periods and local tides). The ZIP code is looked up in a table built into the app; it is never transmitted.

What the app collects

Nothing. We (Apsinthion) receive no personal or usage data of any kind. There are no third-party SDKs, analytics, crash reporters or ads in the app.

Permissions

• Notifications — to show your reminders.
• Alarms & reminders (exact alarms) — optional; lets reminders set to "Alarm" fire at the exact minute.
• Run at startup and vibrate — to restore your schedule after a restart and to vibrate when a reminder is due.
• Camera — optional; used only to scan a QR Transfer code (below), and only while that screen is open. Camera frames are decoded on the device and are never saved, recorded or sent anywhere.

The app does not request location, contacts, microphone, storage or network access.

Sharing with other apps

Another app on your device can read or change your reminders only if you turn on "Allow other apps to access reminders" in Settings. It is off by default, and you can turn it off at any time.

Backups and exports

If you export a backup (.json) or a spreadsheet (.xlsx), the file goes wherever you choose to save it. If you put it in a cloud service, that copy is governed by that service's policy, not this one.

QR Transfer between your phones

QR Transfer copies your reminders from one phone to another: one phone shows a QR code on its screen and the other reads it with its camera. The data passes only through the screen and the camera — there is no network, server or account involved, and we never see it. Reminder history and settings are not transferred.

Deleting your data

Delete individual reminders in the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything it stored.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
